Bonds of Change: The Centre for Social Innovation uses Community Bonds to purchase $6.5 million building
In this recent article from See Change Magazine, author Tonya Surman discusses how the The Centre for Social Innovation pioneered the use of Community Bonds to purchase a $6.5 million building and meet their long-term objectives.
Surman goes on to discuss the possibility of using community bonds as an effective and creative means for community organizations to meet their financial needs. She writes, "Community bonds are a tool with tremendous potential for what we call the "citizen sector" - the people and organizations who take action to serve others - because they empower communities to create their own solutions."
