An Advanced Program with Community at its Core!Cape Breton University’s Master’s of Business Administration in Community Economic Development is designed for learners and graduates who aspire to play leadership roles in the public sector, in Third Sector organizations, and in community-minded businesses. The program curriculum, in addition to business subjects found in traditional MBA programs, focuses on economic development, leadership, strategy, governance, managing change and international management.
The program also strives for accessibility, as students can complete the program program by attending classes in the summer or on alternate weekends in their city and complete the courses over 22 months.
Program Value: a popular program that provides advanced skills in business, development, leadership, and international management.
Accessible: learners in Kingston, Sault Ste Marie, Saskatoon, and Edmonton can complete the program by attending classes on alternate weekends in their city and complete the courses over 22 months. Learners across Canada may opt to take classes in July only, over three summers, on campus in Cape Breton.
Advanced Standing: recognition of past learning and career knowledge through Prior Learning Assessment.

A CED Dating Service matches skilled professionals with social enterprises
Spark is a core service of the Canadian CED Network (CCEDNet) in Manitoba. It seeks to match community organizations in Winnipeg with volunteers who have specialized skills. By 'sparking' these relationships, Spark helps to strengthen community organizations, and connect volunteers to a good cause. Ultimately, this helps to build stronger, healthier, and more sustainable individuals, families and communities in Winnipeg.
In "A CED Dating Service?," Brendan Reimer (CCEDNet Regional Coordinator) describes the Spark model, which was then in its pilot project stage and known as CEDTAS.

There was a racking collapse in Zheng Zhou city several years ago and more than 10 workers died from it. The owner of racking factory was sent into prison because he use poor material in the project.
