Atlantic Council for Community and Social Enterprise

By ahorsnell - Posted on 20 September 2010

The Atlantic Council for Community and Social Enterprise (ACCSE) exists to promote economic policies and enhance entrepreneurial opportunities for organizations whose primary purpose is to contribute to community wellbeing.

ACCSE’s Values:

  • Promote community based development and empowerment instead of growth;
  • Support community participation in ownership and/or governance;
  • Build the sector’s strength and capacity;
  • Lead by example;
  • Recognize that people are more important than capital;
  • Aspire to social and environmental justice.

It's very interesting to find out what the values of ACCESE are! I'm very impressed by two of them: lead by example and recognize that people are more important than capital! those twot things are in my opinion essential to our society as a whole!
