Stonepound Coffee Company
Location
At Stonepound Coffee we strive to support indigenous farming families from Pula, Asipulo, Philippines by importing their green coffee beans to Canada. All of our beans are harvested from a shade-grown coffee forest which makes up the Julia Campbell Agro-Forest, a conservation park that supports bio-diversity and animal welfare through the prohibition of hunting and any non-organic farming practices. Our operations are carried forth directly through a local Pula farmer, enabling us to exceed the global fair-trade standards while maximizing our support to the community.
In addition to this diret support, we donate a portion of all sales to the Stonepound Coffee Community Advancement Fund,
a program that we developed in order to create positive social change
within Pula. Our mission is to encourage responsible growth within this
farming municipality by showing them that success can come from ethical
sales of coffee products and that their forests and animals should be
protected at all costs.
Stonepound Coffee distributes 100% organic, green coffee beans that directly support wildlife conservation,
permaculture farming and organic coffee processing practices. All of
the coffee is traditionally hand harvested, stone pounded and
solar-dried in the cordillera sun . It is a hallmark of Stonepound
Coffee to deliver the finest coffee without sacrificing the beauty and
safety of the environment; our goal is to keep indigenous farmers
engaged with their traditional practices while suporting the community
through positive growth.
